About Steve Chesler
Throughout my life I’ve had a vision. In that vision I was a successful photographer with a beautiful family and most important of all, happiness. I was always determined to be happy in my career and lifestyle, even if it meant not being the richest man in town. If I had happiness, I had success.
My vision has arrived. I married my beautiful wife Sue, who I met at SUNY Brockport. We welcomed our daughter Sarah into the world in March 1998, and our son, Edwin “Cade”, in January 2002, and I have a photography business that’s getting stronger everyday.
I have found success, and attribute it to my desire to be the best I can in whatever I set out to do, without knocking anyone else down to do it. My philosophy in business as well as life, is based on integrity and quality.
Having been featured in several magazines, newspapers and television’s Inside Edition, Chesler’s work has brought him national acclaim and he is now being sponsored by Sigma, Spotlight Photographics and Colorado Timberline.
Award Winning Photographer
Chesler’s work has also earned him awards on the state, national and international levels, with numerous blue ribbon prints, as well as being a multiple Court of Honor winner. He won the prestigious Photographer of the Year award from the Professional Photographer’s of America in 2007, 2008 and 2010. He was also published in the Professional Photographer’s of America Showcase Book of international prints in 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2011. He was also selected for the PPA Loan Collection in 2008 and 2009.
In the ever changing photography industry, more and more photographers are adding sports photography to their resume to earn a living. Being good enough is not enough anymore with so many photographers claiming a piece of the pie. In this program, Sigma Pro Steve Chesler will go in depth in to his sports process from capturing the image, both posed and action, to creating unique products and most important, how to profit from them. The program will touch on shooting techniques for capturing great action, lighting for cool posed action, the editing process to achieve the Wow Factor and the sales process both before and after the shoot.
