Bio:
Anthony Marill was born and raised in New England. In the late 1980s he relocated to the Washington Metropolitan Area and began pursuing his professional photography career.
In 1995, Anthony married Anne whose family has been part the Washington Metropolitan area Jewish community for many years. They introduced Tony to the Orthodox Jewish communities in the area. By combining his creative photographic ability and his deep understanding of the intricate details of Jewish customs and traditions, Anthony has established himself in this unique corner of the market.
In 2003, Anthony earned his Photographic Craftsman Degree from the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). In 2008, Anthony earned his Master of Photography degree from PPA.
He has also sat on the boards of both Maryland and DC Chapters of PPA and was President of the DC chapter for three years.
Program Description: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Photographing Bar/Bat Mitzvahs
Anthony will walk you step by step through the Bar/Bat Mitzvah service. He will describe photographs that can be taken within the synagogue and their significance. He will also spend time discussing great images that can be captured at the reception. He will also talk about pre-shots and their importance.
