PPNEO and PPO are partnering up for a field trip at Camp Mary Orton. The Ohio School of Falconry and the Ohio Canid Center are providing us with the opportunity to photography raptors and wolves!!

Join PPO on a trip to The Wilds, a 10,000 acre conservation center in SE Ohio! Award-winning wildlife photographer Tom Welsh will host a morning session at the visitor center to discuss how to shoot wildlife, the equipment used, the settings that bring the best results, and the software used for editing and the workflow to go from capture to final image! We will then have a provided lunch, followed by a photo safari tour. We’ll finish up the day working on retouching our wildlife images.

Join us on Saturday, July 11th as we review and score images. This can help with both MIR and the new International Photographic Competition. IPC registration opens 7/9 so the feedback you’ll get from PPO will prepare you for IPC!

Awards for the image competition will be given out at our 2024 convention on July 21/22 in Newark Ohio.

You will learn social media marketing strategies and leave the class with a 12-month marketing calendar that includes both ongoing and seasonal events. Lisa Francescon will show you how to create a marketing schedule that will keep you organized all year long. Throughout the day, we will have dog models join us so Lisa can photograph them while demonstrating some of her favorite and most successful events.

One key to successful sales is specifically shooting FOR the products you want to sell. Gary will start with the types and series of images he creates with specific items in mind to sell. Another element is lighting diversity. Learn the foundation elements of proper lighting, in other words, the rules, then learn how to break them with purpose. He will also illustrate how to create images with Off Camera Flash that don't look too "flashy". The second half of the program is how to convert those images into the maximum dollars. Gary will cover pricing strategies and the entire sales process, including how to dramatically increase your album sales averages.
